I'm sorry, but a percentage of the images selected for this group just don't: 1) strike me as Glamour photography, and 2) meet the grade of what is generally accepted as Art.

Sure people can make any argument that what they do with their camera is Art.  (Examples? Awkward poses or camera angles not complimentary to the model, how's that for starters?) However, people need to accept that some of what they produce is just plain bad Art and to start to work harder at it and not post they Art unless they are willing to accept criticism (Like Derek Smart and his shitty video games - he doesn't and will ban you for stating the obvious about his crap) Remember, just because YOU believe you are creating Art, you might not be and most people looking at it are going to be polite and agree with you when they should be more critical. Deviantart is bad for that.

I recommend going over to 500px, there you will encounter two options regarding your photography: 1) you'll work harder at becoming better, or, 2) sell your gear. Many of us fall into that latter category.

This group is loosely based on the purest sense of Glamour photography. I trust my idea of glamour is different than yours and so on. I along with the other admins, try our very best to showcase the quality of talent who submit their work to this group. I for one try not to be too judgemental when deciding who gets in and who does not. It is rare that I decline and image submitted in order to encourage members to keep at it, thus the creation of the "submissions" folder. A clever idea by those thoughtful admins before me.
Your comments are always welcome here! :)

I do try to keep an open mind and I know that some of us see something in an image that might never be or might be later seen in the same context. But, there are many who really should look at their "art" and think hard (and perhaps ask) whether they should post or instead try a little harder. Your work I really like most of the time - when I don't, I have to look at it a few times to try and understand where/what you were thinking at the time. I keep critique to myself because I have yet to dip my foot into that style of photography - but sometimes, I gotta say something and try to keep it generic without insulting anybody specifically. I understand that it is hard to critique and say no to someone who believes they are doing their best - because you never know how thick or thin someone's skin is.
